Freud also got his whole Id, Ego, Super-Ego thing from Rabbinic Judaism's Evil Inclination, Nefesh (Soul), Good Inclination; which for you Christian viewers is the same place Paul got his understanding of the flesh (sarx), psyche (soul), pneuma (spirit). Too bad he didn't use a transliteration, because that could have avoided much confusion & shut-down Paul's proto-Gnostic opponents. Oh well.... |
