I am a nuby to soldering. I found this video to be very informative. Do you have any tips on cleaning your tips? I purchased what I hope is a good soldering station, but in my initial getting to know the product phase, baddly blackened the tip. I have shyed away from using the soldering iron since. Again...GREAT VIDEO!

That's a really good guide. I knew basic soldering, but I never got shown anything like this. Thanks!

Awesome guide, 5/5, even though I know to solder, I would recommand this guide to everyone who wan't to learn soldering, but I can't teach them at the actual moment. Good work!

We've got a very simple kit that's $10. It's a scanning LED display like the Cylons have in Battlestar. CuriousInventor com / kits / tinyCylon Even cheaper, you can just find some discarded electronics and try removing / reattaching those components. cheers.

v.nice vid.
Do you have any advice on a very simple soldering job I could do to build up practise.
something small and preferable cheap, that would be easy to test to see if it worked.
I want some practise before attempting an arcade stick modification |
