Its called that the fact that she even showed her friend dialing and showed her answering the calls, meant that they were roleplaying. Even without the description I knew what they were doing, but it requires some logic.

Oh my god, do you not understand a role play. A role play is where two people play out a situation.
In the beginning, the telemarketer was shown, and then the person thats being called. Showing that no she is not talking to a real person, but her friend is calling her to give YOU examples. Have you have heard of acting? Bet not.
